Banamid’s activities can be categorized under three main headings: Research, Event, Media
| Research | architecture is widely accepted as a profession mainly related to building and constructing but its association with other sciences is also undeniable; therefore there are various ways of defining research in architecture. Banamid attempts to analyze and set series of questions regarding Iran’s contemporary architecture that are worth investigating. Creating such affiliations, especially between universities and professionals could benift Iran’s contemporary architecture in long term.
In the research section, we conducted a project on the contemporary architecture of Iran with approximately seventy researchers, including Dr. Nadiyeh Imani and several university professors.
architectural competitions in Iran, professional associations and architectural institutions in Iran, architectural education in Iran, construction and execution in Iranian architecture, and finally, people and architecture in Iran.
Ultimately, we created a documentary film based on this research but did not release it. This film was produced in the year (2015-2014)-(1393-1394) , during which we interviewed people on the streets about their architectural preferences.
We organized a significant conference in the prestigious setting of the National Library of Iran, situated in Tehran, where we gathered prominent neurologists from Iran Mehr Hospital. The vital point of this gathering was a comprehensive discourse on the intricate interplay and recuperative/recovering/ regaining health after an illness processes associated with three prevalent diseases: Alzheimers, Parkinsons, and Depression. Notably, our deliberations revolved around the profound impact of interior design on the individuals afflicted by these conditions.
In pursuit of a holistic perspective, we extended invitations to esteemed specialists and professors from Tehran University, individuals who have dedicated themselves to the profound field of Environmental Psychology. Their insights and expertise played a pivotal role in enriching the discourse during this program, further emphasizing the critical connection between the built environment and human well-being.
